Booking a Ride

When can a traveler book a car service online?

The traveler can reserve a car service only booking or add a car service segment to an existing flight, hotel, and/or rental car booking.

When can a traveler add car service to an existing trip?

The traveler can add car service to most online or offline originated flight, hotel and/or rental car booking. Travelers will see the option to add car service to an existing trip in the upcoming reservations view and on the trip details page.

How many car service only segments can a traveler reserve in the same transaction?

The traveler will have the option to include up to 8 car service segments when booking a new car service only transaction.

How many car service segments can a traveler add to an existing trip?

The traveler have the option to add up to 8 car service segments to an existing trip.

Changing a Ride

Can a traveler change an online originated car service only booking online?

Yes, a traveler will have the option to change an online originated car service only booking online. The traveler will see the option to change the car service booking in the upcoming reservations view and the trip details page.

Can a traveler change an offline originated car service booking online?

No, a traveler does not have the option to change an offline originated car service booking.

Can a traveler change an existing trip that includes a car service segment online?

No, a traveler does do not have the option to change an existing booking that includes a car service segment. The traveler will need to contact the Agency for assistance.

Can a traveler call an agent to change a car service booking?

Yes, an agent has the ability to change an online originated car service booking using the standard car service scripts or Sabre Red App on behalf of the traveler.

Cancelling Ride

Can a traveler cancel an online originated car service only booking online?

Yes, a traveler can cancel online originated car service bookings online prior to trip start and within the permitted cancel window.

Can a traveler cancel an offline originated car service booking online?

No, a traveler does not have the option to cancel an offline originated car service only booking. The traveler will need to contact the Agency for assistance.

Can a traveler cancel an existing trip that includes a car service segment online?

Yes, a traveler will have the option to cancel the entire trip that includes flights, hotel, and/or rental car and includes a car service segment. This will cancel all services included in the trip.

Can a traveler cancel just the car service segment from an existing trip online?

No, a traveler does not have have the option to selectively cancel just the car service segment from an existing trip online. The traveler will need to contact the Agency for assistance to cancel just the car service segment and keep all other services.

Can a traveler call an agent to cancel a car service booking?

Yes, an agent has the ability to cancel an online originated car service booking using the standard car service scripts or Sabre Red App on behalf of the traveler.

Mobile Capabilities

Can a traveler reserve a car service only booking on the Deem mobile app?

Yes, a travel can search and reserve a car service only booking on the Deem mobile app.

How many car service only segments can a traveler reserve in the same transaction on the Deem mobile app?

The traveler will be limited reserving one car service segments when booking a new car service only transaction on the Deem mobile app.

Can a traveler add a car service segment to an existing trip on the Deem mobile app?

No, a travel does not have the option to add car service to an existing trip on the Deem mobile app.

Will a traveler see online originated car service bookings on the Deem mobile app?

Yes, a traveler will see online originated car service bookings in the mobile upcoming reservations for both car service only bookings and existing trips that include a car service segment.

Will a traveler see offline originated car service bookings on the Deem mobile app?

Yes, a traveler will see offline originated bookings in the mobile upcoming reservations when the PNR is placed on the Agency’s PNR sync queue.

Can a traveler change or cancel an existing trip that includes a car service segment on the Deem mobile app?

No, a traveler does not have have the option to change or cancel an existing trip that includes a car service segment on the Deem mobile app. The traveler will need to contact the Agency for assistance to change or cancel the trip.

Who should traveler contact for assistance about their ride?

Travelers should contact their agency for any changes needed for their reservation.

How does a traveler know that their rides are confirmed?

Re-display the trip from the Upcoming Reservations list and note provider confirmation numbers for all segments.

What does a traveler need to do if the car is in a pending state?

Deem Preferred Providers provide immediate confirmation, but some agency or corporate providers may require up to several hours to confirm a ride (most are a few minutes).  For pending rides, the traveler needs to wait for a while, then re-display the trip from the Upcoming Reservations list and verify if a confirmation number has been or if the ride has been declined.

What does a traveler need to do if they receive a provider error for a ride?

If a provider rejects a ride (possibly invalid car or car is no longer available), Deem displays a provider error message and marks the ride with a red x.  The traveler should contact the travel agency to book a new ride, if one is still needed.
