Address Book
Â
To open the Profile page, click your name at the top of the screen, and choose Profile from the drop-down menu.
The Address Book and Calendar section of the Profile page lets you add or import contacts into your personal Address Book. You can import your contacts into the Address Book to use for package shipping, and for including others in car service travel reservations.
To review contacts in your Address Book, click the View Address Book link in the Address Book and Calendar section of the Profile page. The View Address Book page appears. You can then add or edit contacts manually, or import contacts from a file on your computer.
Note: Any changes made to a contact appear in all services that use contacts – such as Shipping and Car Service.
Adding or Editing Contacts ManuallyÂ
To add contacts manually, follow these steps:
- Click the Add/Edit a Contact link (either in the Address Book and Calendar section of the Profile page, or in the left column of the View Address Book page). The Add/Edit a Contact page appears.Â
- Enter the contact information (name, home address, business address, etc.).Â
- Click Save to save your changes.
After adding a contact, the Add/Edit a Contact page reappears with the added contact. You can click Add another to add another contact.
To edit a contact, click the Edit link under the contact on the Add/Edit a Contact page or the View Address Book page.
To delete a contact, click View Address Book on the Add/Edit a Contact page or in the Address Book and Calendar section of the Profile page to show the View Address Book page. You can then click the Delete link for the contact.
Importing Contacts from a File
You can import contacts from a comma-separated values (CSV)Â file stored on your computer. Follow these steps:
- Click the Import/Export Contacts link (either in the Address Book and Calendar section of the Profile page, or in the left column of the View Address Book page). The Import Contacts page appears.
- The file you import must be a structured comma-separated values (CSV) file. If you already use the FedEx, DHL, or UPS formats for the file, skip to the next step. If not, click Download default file format to first download the "Default" CSV format. You can then use the downloaded file as a template to create your CSV file.
- Click the Choose File button and locate the file on your computer.
- Decide how duplicate entries will be imported by choosing one of the following from the "Create new contacts from duplicates" drop-down menu:
- Create new contacts from duplicates
- Keep existing contacts and discard duplicates
- Replace existing contacts with duplicates
- Select the Validate mailing addresses during import to validate address accuracy for each contact you import.
- Click the Import button to import the contacts into the Address Book.Â
Exporting Your Address Book
You can export contacts from your personal Address Book to a comma-separated values (CSV) file. Click the Export Contacts button in the Export Contacts section of the Import Contacts page. After downloading the file to your computer, the file can be imported into another user's Address Book.
